Rawai Muay Thai was the first Muay Thai Gym to market itself to foreigners & dominated the Muay Thai Scene in Phuket, it wasn’t soon after other gyms opened up in the surrounding area. Turning Phuket into a Muay Thai Gym Market hub.
Rawai Muay Thai has moved to Khao Lak province just outside of Phuket. But like most of the Muay Thai Gyms in Phuket it’s still less than 1 hour away from the Airport & being that it pioneered the Muay Thai Tourism in Phuket it deservedly is listed on Phuket Fighters.
The name Rawai Muay Thai comes from the location in which it was founded in 2003. Rawai is a small location very south of Phuket. Right by Nai Harn Beach voted the best beach in Phuket.
Rawai Muay Thai or RMT as it’s known as for short, emphasis on more of a family feeling. Returning guest often refer to the gym as their second home. The founders Tuk and Diana oversees all operations of the gym Tuk taking charge fo the training regime and schedule whilst Diana, his wife, takes care of everything else. She is the main pillar in which RMT stands tall.

Restaurant
There is a restaurant on site that offers beautiful tasty traditional Thai food. The restaurant is called “Good For You” and it’s right next to the swimming pool. The restaurant is open Monday to Saturday and closed on Sundays. There are also weekly meal plans you can enrol in:
- 2,000 Baht for 1 meal per day for one week
- 3,000 Baht for 2 meals per day for 1 week.
Massage
There is an onsite massage studio ran by Namfon the lady with magic hands. If your training hard then you must learn to recover hard if you wish to get the best results from your training. Rawai Muay Thai recommends at least 3 massages a week to keep your body in tip-top shape so you can keep training harder and reduce any chances of getting sick or injured.
Rawai Muay Thai Location:
RMT is located in Khao Lak – It moved there in 2013 from Rawai in Phuket Thailand – Hence its name. The new destination is fairly remote & undeveloped. But is not far from the beautiful beaches with plenty of Bars & Restaurants to give you a proper feel for Thai Cuisine.
