Rawai Muay Thai

Rawai Muay Thai Logo

Rawai Muay Thai was the first Muay Thai Gym to market itself to foreigners & dominated the Muay Thai Scene in Phuket. It wasn’t soon after other gyms opened up in the surrounding area. They were turning Phuket into a Muay Thai Gym Market hub.

Rawai Muay Thai has moved to Khao Lak province just outside of Phuket. But like most of the Muay Thai Gyms in Phuket, it’s less than 1 hour away from the Airport & since it pioneered the Muay Thai Tourism in Phuket, it deservedly is listed on Phuket Fighters.

The name Rawai Muay Thai comes from where it was founded in 2003. Rawai is a small location very south of Phuket. Right by Nai Harn Beach, voted the best beach in Phuket.

Rawai Muay Thai, or RMT as it’s known for short, emphasises more of a family feeling. Returning guest often refer to the gym as their second home. The founders, Tuk and Diana, oversee all operations of the gym. Tuk takes charge of the training regime and schedule, whilst Diana, his wife, takes care of everything else. She is the main pillar.
